Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 1, 2026
Our promise to you
When you share your story here, you are trusting me with something close to your heart, and I will hold it with care. I collect only what I need. I never sell your information. There are no ads and no ad tracking. And your story is shared only with your permission, with your name shown the way you chose.
I’m Christine Lerin, and I run Every Yes Matters. In this policy, “I,” “we,” and “us” mean me and Every Yes Matters.
What we collect
When you share your story (the “Share My Story” form):
- your name
- how you’d like your name to appear (full name, first name and last initial, or anonymous)
- your email address
- your story
- any photos you choose to upload (this is optional)
- your permission to share your story and any photos you send, and whether you’d like occasional emails
When you ask to stay in touch (the “Just Keep Me Updated” form):
- your name and email address
Your story may include very personal things about your faith, health, and family. I treat all of it with care.
When you visit the site, our web host automatically keeps basic technical records (like your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visited) to keep the site running and safe.
How we use your story
I read every story prayerfully. I use what you send to:
- read your story and, if it is chosen, reach out to you about it by email
- share your story and any photos you send only in the ways you gave permission for: on this website, on our social media, in videos and podcasts, in a future book, or in other Every Yes Matters projects. Before a book goes to print, I may send you a separate release form to sign.
- send you occasional emails, only if you asked for them
I may edit or adapt your story and any photos you send for each format, whether written, read aloud, or shared as a video or graphic. I may also leave out last names or places that could identify someone.
Sending photos is always optional. I’ll use a photo only with the permission you gave on the form, and sending one doesn’t guarantee it will be used.
I will never sell, rent, or trade your information.
How your name appears
Your name will appear only the way you chose on the form: your full name, your first name and last initial, or anonymously. If you choose anonymous, I may use a different first name for you and leave out details that could point to you. Your email address is never published.
Who helps us
A few trusted services help run this site. Each one handles your information only to provide its service to us.
- Tally (tally.so) runs our forms and stores your answers, including any photos you upload. Tally uses Google reCAPTCHA on the forms to block spam. Tally’s privacy policy.
- Google stores submissions in my private Google account (Google Sheets, Google Docs, and Gmail), including links to any photos you upload, and the photos themselves if I save them there. Our pages also load fonts from Google. Google’s privacy policy.
- I plan to use Sender (sender.net) to send email updates. Sender’s privacy policy.
- Hostinger hosts our website. Hostinger’s privacy policy.
- Koko Analytics counts visits. It runs on our own website, so visit counts never go to an outside company. About Koko Analytics.
I may also share information if the law requires it.
Emails and unsubscribing
I’ll only email you if you asked for updates, or to talk with you about the story you sent. Every update email has an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe anytime. You can also just email me, and I’ll take you off the list.
Cookies
Cookies are small files a website can store in your browser. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies. WordPress uses cookies for people who log in to manage the site. Comments are turned off on this site. Our forms and their spam protection (Google reCAPTCHA) may use small files or similar technology to work properly and keep out bots. I count visits using Koko Analytics, a simple tool that runs on this website itself, stores no personal information, and places no cookies. It only tells me how many people visit, which pages they read, and which websites sent them here.
Keeping your information safe
Your information is kept in private, password-protected accounts, and the site uses a secure (HTTPS) connection. No method online is perfectly secure, but I take real care to protect what you’ve entrusted to me.
How long we keep it
I keep your story and contact details for as long as Every Yes Matters is active. If you unsubscribe, I keep just your email address on a “do not email” list so I don’t write to you again.
Your choices
At any time, you can ask me to:
- show you the information I have about you
- change how your name appears
- stop sending you emails
Just write to hello@everyyesmatters.com. I’ll reply within 90 days.
Children
This site is for adults. I don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent me information, please email me and I’ll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, I’ll post the new version here with a new effective date. If the changes are important, I’ll let everyone on our email list know.
